The Daily Pour

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 21, 2026

The short version

The Daily Pour is a content site. We do not sell anything here, we do not sell or share your personal data, and we collect almost nothing about you. This policy spells that out.

What we don’t do

  • We never sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with data brokers, advertisers, or anyone else. Not for money, not for anything.
  • We sell no products or services on this site. There is no checkout, no cart, and we never ask for payment information of any kind.
  • We run no advertising networks and no behavioral or cross-site tracking. No third-party ad scripts load on this site.
  • We build no profiles. No accounts, no login, no identity tracking across visits.
  • We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; the site is not directed at them.

What we actually collect

Almost nothing. The interactive tools (brew finder, calculators) run entirely in your browser — quiz progress is stored only in your device’s local storage and is never transmitted to us. If you choose to join the newsletter, we store your email address for the sole purpose of sending it, and every issue contains an unsubscribe link that works immediately. Our hosting provider keeps standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, pages requested, timestamps) for security and operations, as virtually every website does.

Analytics — off by default

We would like to know which guides help people most, but only with your permission. Aggregate, anonymized analytics (page views, tool usage, outbound-click counts) activates only if you allow it on the cookie settingspage. We honor your browser’s Do Not Track signal regardless of that setting, anonymize IP addresses where the tooling supports it, and cap retention at 14 months. Analytics data is never tied to your identity and never shared.

Outbound links and future affiliate links

Articles link to other websites. When you follow an outbound link, the destination site’s own privacy policy applies from that point — we receive no personal information about what you do there. This site may participate in affiliate programs in the future; if it does, affiliate links will be clearly labeled, they remain ordinary outbound links (no extra tracking on our side), and at most we would receive aggregate, anonymous commission reporting — never your personal or purchase details. That is the full extent of any commercial relationship this site will ever have with your data.

Your choices and rights

You can decline analytics (or never enable it), clear your browser’s local storage at any time, and unsubscribe from the newsletter with one click. To request deletion of anything tied to your email address, write to info@mbcaffiliates.com — requests are honored within 30 days, no questions asked.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with an updated effective date. We will never change the core promises above — no selling data, no selling to you, nothing collected without a reason you can see.
